Horizon Yachts Launches 15th FD80, Customized for Europe

Horizon Yachts has completed the build of its 15th FD80 hull, a 24.6-meter motoryacht crafted with the European market in mind. The yacht is slated to debut at both the Cannes Yachting Festival and the Monaco Yacht Show in September, representing the inaugural FD80 specified for Europe.

Collaborative Design and Interior Details

Conceived in collaboration with Dutch designer Cor D. Rover, the FD80 offers an open interior layout accented by expansive floor-to-ceiling windows. The yacht’s interiors are finished with bleached teak and brushed gunmetal detailing throughout the cabinetry. Custom touches requested by the owner include oversized televisions in the main saloon and the master stateroom.

Guest Accommodation and Crew Quarters

The vessel provides accommodation for up to eight guests across four staterooms. A full-beam master suite is positioned on the main deck, complemented by three guest cabins on the lower deck. Crew areas are arranged for four members, offering direct access to the beach club for streamlined service and enhanced privacy.

Outdoor Features and Deck Configuration

Exterior spaces are optimized for flexibility and entertainment. The bridge deck showcases a hot tub and teppanyaki grill, while the aft deck allows for adaptable use as a lounge area or tender storage. Forward, the foredeck includes a dining setting and sunpads, making the yacht ideal for social events and unwinding.

Technical Details and Performance

Equipped with twin MTU engines, the FD80 boasts Horizon’s Skyline superstructure and a fully enclosed wheelhouse. The yacht will be on display at Europe’s top shows prior to its handover to the owner. The Fast Displacement line continues to play a key role in Horizon Yachts’ present production numbers.
