Born in Namibia and raised in South Africa, Stephen’s passion for the ocean led him to build a successful career in the United States yachting industry, where he has spent more than 13 years helping owners enjoy and maximize their time on the water.
For the past nine years, Stephen has served as captain aboard a variety of yachts, including a 75′ Nordhavn expedition yacht and a 120′ Tecnomar luxury motor yacht. His experience spans vessel operations, maintenance management, refit oversight, owner representation, and long-range cruising, providing him with a practical understanding of yacht ownership that few brokers can offer.

In addition to his time at sea, Stephen founded and operated his own yacht management company, working closely with owners to oversee maintenance, budgets, refits, and day-to-day operations. This hands-on background allows him to guide clients not only through the buying and selling process, but also through the realities of ownership, operation, and long-term value.
Today, as a Yacht Broker with Yachting Select, Stephen combines the experience of a captain, yacht manager, and trusted advisor to help buyers and sellers make informed decisions with confidence.

His goal is simple: to build lasting relationships by providing honest guidance, valuable insight, and exceptional service long after the transaction is complete.
